Wasn't it on slicks though? In which case a ford festiva on bob jane all rounders could have out-cornered it.
altho suprisingly, the new STi rex was poor around the wet track last time. I blame the driver, because it should have been the fastest thing there
edit: by "poor", I mean not the fastest![]()

I ignored it since it was crap.
altho the other wrx that was there I kept my eye on... mainly because it kept spinning, so I stayed well clear![]()

Still on the import specials OC.
Haven't had time to organise anything else yet.
It was on a concrete road, too.
Anyone got any suggestions where to get a custom swaybar made up?
why do you need a custom swaybar? (err.. whiteline, kmac, whatever other places.. yellow pages)
if anything you need higher spring rates, like the Teins or the TRD "hard" with appropriate shocks. the stock springs are soft... like 2 or 2.5kg/mm soft
hmm, import special tyres + wet concrete road.... get new tyres before something else happens![]()

Why do I need a custom swaybar, cos nothings available off the shelf here? It's an import here, remember![]()
Immediately thought of 4 places just after I typed the lat post, so sorry for wasting peoples time.![]()
Yes, the springs could be a bit harder, but I'm more a fan of softer suspension/stiff swaybar route. It works better with the weird places I drive, like dirt roads, through parks & reserves, ... And you remember what Aussie roads are like, OC?![]()
I don't think spring rates should be soft enough so that you can drive over speed humps without needing to slow down, so I may tackle that along with a spot of lowering. Just cos its 4wd, doesn't mean it needs the ground clearance of one.
Wheels & tyres will come after I figure what/if I'm going to do anything with the brakes. Tho tyres may come sooner with a trade in cos they're so noisy.Ended up having to shut the windows to have a conversation with my passenger on sunday on wet asphalt roads
