    Default 4ac temp probe thread specs

    hi does anyone know the thread specs for the temp probe that works the ae86/ke70/ae71 temp gauge thats for the temp dial on the facia?

    Sam, I have a 4ac in the shed. If you let me know where the sensor is, I'll try putting a thread guage over it.

    top water pipe flange on the front left of the engine head, if you could do that it would be great

    I had someone on ae86dc measure it for me, apparently its M16 x 1.5 and just for the record the ecu probe I measured myself and seems to be 1/2" UNC, odd combination.

    It should be 1/8NPT. The switch for the thermofans is M16x1.5

    My 4AC one was 1/8NPT anyway.

    Sorry Sam, I haven't been home. I remember that the intake temp probe on my 3s motor is M16x1.5

    I have confirmed the specs of all the sensors:

    ecu temp sensor: 1/4 npt
    dash temp sesnor: 3/8 npt
    thermofan sensor switch: 16mm

    Interesting, mine was 100% 1/8NPT, as it bolted straight into the 4AGE although there could have been an adaptor on the head which i didnt notice when i pulled it.
