Most mechanics wont touch this kind of thing, so itll probably be a "performance" mechanic that will do it. In my experience (in Townsville anyways) most of these cats are about as good as a backyard mechanic anyways. And they charge like a wounded bull at a bull fighter. You know you wanna do it yourself, its a really simple procedure, and can be done with a basic tool set. I must say that when removing ball joints, hit the item which has the hole, not the ball joint shaft. Most suspension places wont charge much if you take in anything which requires bushes pressed in and out, and offer cash as the payment. Machine work is reasonably cheep if you tell the machinist exactly what you want done, and take them a CLEAN item to be machined, and again pay cash.

After the installation is done, if you know the settings you want (how much camber etc) then a tyre shop wont charge much more than the normal cost of a wheel alignment to set it up.

Well i have put my new suspension bits into the RA23, and all i can say is wow! Its a whole new car to drive, sits really flat through corners and just grips grips grips..
The suspension shop lost my front swaybar in transit so at the moment i only have the rear one in with a standard front swaybar, so it is a little taily to drive but the bigger front bar will bring that into line.
Incase anyone's wondering the bits i used are:
    King Springs low x4
    KYB excel-G shocks x4
    Whiteline 18mm rear swaybar
    Whiteline 24mm front swaybar coming..
The car now handles way better than it needs to being a standard 18rc so a power up is on the cards next

I bought the bits through a friends workshop, and then just put it all in at home..
I payed a bit less than normal because it was through a mate, but i think the normal prices for king springs are about $120 a pair, and the swaybars are normally around $200 each i think.. Not sure about the kyb's though sorry..
    Definantly a worthwhile upgrade though!
I can't speak for the full package yet as i dont yet have the front swaybar, but so far its handling really well!

Installing shocks, springs and sway bars is a piece of piss Andy, bring it up to my joint and I'll give you a hand.

Hmmm yeah, just gotta get the bastards first. My front swaybar might be a bit of fun, clearance between it and the alty pully is pretty close Damn 3sge!

Did you go for a adjustable pan hard rod aswell?

No haven't changed my panhard rod.. I decided i would look into that later once i go upgrading the diff as it would most likely be a bit wider than stock..
I can't see it being too much of a problem for now. The diff is definantly offset to one side, but probably less than it could have been because my panhard rod is slightly bent i noticed :-(
Have you done any upgrades to yours yet?
Are you planning on getting the adj panhard rod? If you do you'll have to give me some feedback!
    Cheers,
    Mark.

    hi
    re neg camber.
i got the local shocker guy to put 3 degrees neg camber into the struts . and i
    lowered it 3 inches
king springs ,nolathane bushes . it now handles like it is on rails .
now all i have to do is make it stop
