Ra28 with volvo diff. Sway bar setup.

Hi there. As my 28 with 1GGTE is nearly rolling, i am sparing some thought for the diff. I am likely to do the tried and true volve conversion in time.

Would i be able to use an aftermarket swaybar for the toyota rear axle with the converted diff or should i look at getting a sway bar for the volvo rear end?

you just have to see how big the hump in the diff is and whether the swaybar has enough radius to clear it. With that being said, I cant see too much of a problem I had a Whiteline swaybar for a TA22 which also suited when I changed to Hilux rear end. Ask Toy77 what setup he is using, he has a RA28 with Volvo rear.

innocent off these forums has a volvo diff and a swaybar setup, check his thread. I think he uses the stock whiteline unit?

Blake runs a volvo diff and run a whilteline swway bar for the ra23 celica.

It works provided you retain the panhard rod.
