Good stuff. ive got a sierra aswell and was thinking of putting a 4ac in for a bit more grunt
well i started up a little project ive been working on today , 4ac ( yes C ! ) into my sierra.
it all started when i went to get a T50 box for the GTE that will reside there later and the guy had a 4ac bolted to it , i ended up getting both for $100 and it got me thinking ..... so after a few beers i decided that i would do it . the big thing with it is that there was to be almost no wiring, i just had to re route 5 wires and thats it. the other thing was that mounting it this time sets it up for the 4ag later on , making it SO much easier for me in the future.
funny things :
fuel lines hooked straight up no mods
intake adapter bolted up no mods
radiator hoses , FIT NO MODS hahah
throttle cable fit no mods
wiring needed no extensions, just stripped back the loom and re routed stuff.
i have retained the standard sierra cable clutch setup but i have made my own bracket and arm setup to fit the T50.
the mounts were SO easy all i did was drill into the existing mount block on the chassis drivers side and sink the 4a rwd mount straight onto that , and used a bit of 4mm flat plate on the passenger side . gearbox has some more flat plate to adapt to the chassis and thats it.
gearbox needed a small jackshaft to fit up to the transfer case, using the sierra transfer flange and a T50 yoke. for those that dont know the sierra utilises a 'divorced' transfer case. being that the engine and gearbox are as one on a 'regular' style RWD and then the transfer case is separate.
i spent a grand total of 26 hours (accumilated) and $160 to do the conversion including EVERYTHING . sold the standard motor and box for $200 hahaha what a winner. i think the engine really looks at home in the bay all hooked up.

*hearts* his 4age powered KE70 Panelvan!
Hi, Im enthused about corollas..
I did this a few years ago , except i got the front tailshaft lengthend and the rear shortened , and made up custom transfer mounts . I also had custom jack shaft made up with replacable uni,s at the T50 end also the longer the jack shaft the less vibration you end up with .
Ive still got all the gear if anyones keen to buy it .

wonder what happened to this guy http://toymods.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1176

im pretty sure if you put the gear youve got up on outerlimits 4x4 forum you would have no trouble selling it
