I got the donor head back from the engine builder (just before the started stripping it down) so it's sitting in my boot ATM.

Might talk to Stonemans engineering to get it cut (Just off Moss Street for those in Brisbane) as my current work gets a bit of stuff done there, and I used to fix their machines at my last job too...
Will let you guys know what I find out on Monday.

You know, that's a really bloody good idea. I'd be more than willing to chip in for the machining and pay for postage if i could get an awesome looking slice.
I think it'd look horn mounted and framed on the garage wall. What do you say TERRA Operative?

Well, I was actually thinking that myself. I was going to make the offer to whoever donated that I'll send back a slice all cleaned up to show off.

Whatever's left is open to whoever wants it (after I've taken my slice too. )


I've pulled my head down, so I'll be talking to the engineering place tomorrow to get an idea of cost and whatnot. I'll keep you guys posted.

I've got scanner and more time than most if you want to save buying a scanner and time rescanning etc until get a good enough result.

Sort of...

I'm still looking for somewhere to cut the heads up. I have been to about 7 or 8 places and none could do it...
The only place that showed promise was an alloy bullbar manufacturer, but they gave up when their new bandsaw blade started to melt after cutting into the head by only an inch..



So, until I find somewhere in Brisbane that can cut the heads, nothing's going to happen.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can go?

why not use hacksaw and elbow grease?
