Rubbish. Don't assume that because *you* find it useless everyone else does. I don't find it useless - in fact I find it useFUL. I also live in Sydney and I probably drive more than you

This is one (I assume) marketing decision that makes absolutely no sense to me. On an IS200, in particular, the ONLY extra hardware is the switch in the steering wheel, and the slightly different spiral cable - absolutely all of the other hardware is already there. If all Subarus have it, why is Toyota insisting on including a detriment? Go Toyota Australia - great work.

It's fairly lucky, though, that the looms are the same, so the ability exists to retrofit factory cruise components with minimal effort. The biggest problem would probably be installing the switch without destroying the asthetics of the steering wheel or column surround.

Not as yet, now I've got a list of the parts I need, I need to find out where they're located in the car. Helps if I ask for a certain bit and am able to just tell them where in the car it is.

C13/C14 Combination switch - looks like the cruise control switch is part of the combo switch and not the steering wheel though it's not entirely clear
C15 Cruise control clutch switch - clutch pedal box
C16 Cruise control ecu - upper section of centre console


S11 Stop light switch - brake pedal box
