I will explain my problem.. Here in my country (Peru) almost everybody uses Haltech to manages their engines (when not using stock ECU) but the Haltech costs (here) around USD 1500-1700..
I heard about Megasquirt and read about this in this kind of forums and I know that is used.. but here isnt a lot of experience with this ECU (I know that people here have problems with MS... I heard about two cases which can't start the engines (3SGT, 4AG)).. but my friend told me that I can buy a Megasquirt here for only USD 400!!!! (big difference) but is a risk.. because.. like a said before.. I don't know if I will finish the installation with success
I dont know the version of MS available here.. but it cost around USD 400 and only have 10 ¿wires? ¿connectors? (me friend told me this)
I hope somebody can help me

some folks have issues with toyota VR sensors in the dizzi (as found in 22RE, 4AGE, 3SG(T)E, 7MG(T)E ... but there are many success stories and many folks (me included) that don't have any issues with the sensors.
For starters, join the msefi forums, read thru the manuals then re-read the bits specific to Toyota - then once you've grasped how the ecu works, plan how you will re-wire and setup MSefi for your car.
There's also a success story forum for megasquirt users - it would be worth your while reading up on who has a good/bad time with an engine/car configuration similar to yours.
The key to msefi is research.
The things I remeber confusing me when I was first buiding mine, only 7 months ago, was injector impedence/flow rates and fuel req. calcs. This is all reasonably well explained in the manual, it just took me a bit of reading and some searching the net.
Most troubling was the ignition, as Chuck mentioned, the VR sensors can cause problems. There was a post on these forums suggesting that the use of the ignitor to condition the signal from dissy to ecu works well. I've opted to do it directly though.
The best thing you can do is go to the forums, Chuck's link, and then to the manual and read.

Thanks for your answers.. I've checked the links that you have mentioned and I can find a lot of information about Megasquirt...
but I also would like to receive your opinions about this..
Which aftermarket ECU do you recomend? Haltech or Megasquirt?

I think rather than asking people on a forum what they think, you need to ask yourself the question:
"Can I be fooked soldering, testing and fitting the MS?"
If the answer is no buy the Haltech, otherwise, you've read the MS info so you know what it's capable of, and I hope you've compared it with the Haltech, so just decide. Everybody's preferences are different, time, money, warranty, support, learning,...
