larger pistons, larger disc... might be close...

edit: easily calculate by working out the piston area and the radius of the middle of the brake pads...
    maybe radius/piston area proportion?

i thought RA40 had same brakes as AE86? they mount on to a plate that bolts onto the strut with 4 bolts close to the stub axle? (displays ignorance of dorifto hardware)?

yeah that's what i was alluding to, i thought the caliper bracket system between the 86 and 40 struts was similar
but if the 40 is coming later than that's fine also as i am still struggling to find the r33 calipers for a price i am willing to pay (or swap for the RX7 s4/5 calipers i have sitting here)

Its similar, but the PCD of the caliper bracket system is different, so the adaptor will require tweaking.

What size rotors are the Z32/R32 calipers compatible with? Will you make the adaptor to fit bigger discs?
The Z32 caliper goes with the Z32 280mm disc.

You can also use the R33 caliper with the R33 disc (296mm)
or the GTR caliper with the GTR disc (324mm)

    $250 ish for Z32 calipers, $300ish for R33 calipers.
$110 for new RDA Z32 disc, $150 for R33 disc.
    $200 for Greenstuff pads.
    $80 for caliper rebuild kits.

Does anyone have some measurements of the R33 setup? Edge of disc to outer edge of caliper?? I am trying to work out if they will fit under my 15" wheels.

    Thanks guys,

    Jeremy

This should easily be engineerable, providing you still retain the dust shields.

Obviously every engineer is different, but i'm 99% sure it would be fine for my engineer, provided its in Bisalloy, hi-tensile bolts, and niloc nuts.
