So if someone can save these pics to their HDD , and edit them , circling the "points" that'd be great ...

if you can spot anything else that is obviously in need of a clean/ replace , please say so too

go into supashit and buy a new set of points, they cost like $7 and you'll see what you need to replace when you get it.

Blocked main jet - rebuild carb time. either get a carb rebuild kit and do it yourself or take the whole car to Gordon at "Carbeurettor and Electrical Services" on Kelvin Road, Kenwick.

Also grease your points contact arm (to the rotor shaft).

    You owe me a coffee.

Check the gap, by the looks because ther is no grease on the points arm it has worn down. closing the gap up.... Just go buy some new ones. Once bought we can give instructions on how to install

    ok

    Clint came around (+rep )
the issue all along was the points in the dizzy, and a bit of a dirty carby...

Clint showed me how to replace them and basically did most of the work

The arms on the points were so worn that when the rotor cam rotated , it was not pushing the arm out and creating a spark.

you can clearly see in the below pics that the points was the issue.

After replacing this Clint flushed the carb with fuel by getting the RPM to ~5000 or so then suffocating the carby intake till it almost dies, then grabbing the throttle again and smashing it back up to ~5000rpm

repeating this several times shot a lot of shitty smoke and garbage out the exhaust and has seemed to have made the car idle a lot smoother

    Thanks Clint ...

So looks like issue is solved ...................... for now .................................................
