water temp sensor, above 66° means normal operation
tps for kickdown reference since there is no kickdown cable
speed sensors from the dash and gearbox tell when to change gears.... sounds like its changng at the right time though
Alright, after having an Adaptronic installed, this Soarer (1UZ) will not kick back (shift down on hard accel) now, and it also shows the ETC code in the dash.
I am chasing any info really, like what it uses to kick back and which TPS sensor it uses.
This is one of my first posts so any help will be appreciated, I would love to sort this car out.

hello
Yeah it is changing early, but I am assuming that is because the ECU doesn't know where the TPS sensor is to hold gears for longer/kick down.
I'll take the TPS from the Adaptronic and wire it back in to the TCCS
The TPS the ECU uses is the one closest to the inlet manifold.
The other one is only used when the traction control kicks in.
