Default W series Speedo Drive (actually inside the gearbox)

    Hey,

The gear on the output shaft on the gearbox constantly comes unseated from the two clips which hold it in position.

    Is this a common problem?

I have tried a small amount of loctite through the speedo drive hole however i dont want to remove the box. Any tips?

There should only be 1 clip inside the gearbox, a piece of wire thing that has two ends, that seat into holes on the shaft...

    Anyway!

Have you checked the cable and the dash to see that they spin freely? Perhaps the gear and hence the clip is forced off as a result of the cable or dash sticking?

    Cheers
