with time, money and presistence, anything can go into almost anything.

    people are going to ask:
    why?
    what engine?
    why?
what gearbox are you thinking of...

    and most importantly, why

what are your specific goals to achieve by fitting a 6 speed?

you will need to find out what the 6 speed box is.

ie.. mazda, nissan, toyota IS200, supra (unlikely)..
either way, there is likely not a bellhousing to adapt, and if it has the integrated BH/frotn housing, then all you can do is make an adaptor plate.

    so.. why?
    5MG + 6 speed = ?
sell 6 speed and buy 7M?

    Toyota box?

I'm guessing if someone gave it to you it's not a Getrag

Does it say Aisin on it anywhere?

ahh.. well, it is relatively straightforward...
you just need to make an adaptor plate between box and back of engine, making sure you cna bolt them both together (ie, no bolts blocked),
    make gearbox mount.
make sure the input shaft is in correct spot
make sure input shaft goes into the spigot bearing,
then get driveshaft and clutch made up...

    pretty simple really...
but could end up being a fair bit of expense getting all those things made up, when a 67 speed will not assist with either burnouts or drifting... but it will be fun trying to make it fit anyway

as long as you can make up or design most of it yourself, and not have to outsource anything except machining, clutch and driveshaft.. you should be able to do it for a grand or two
