RA40 standard weight? Couldn't find in search!

Hey people,

I know, two seperate posts in ten minutes but, I've got a completley different question...

I am doing up an RA40 for ocasional outings to the track (say 4-6 a year). and I would like to find a way to be somewhat competitive with my freinds MX5's.

My car has the 18rg head and pistons, the Kmac swaybars and wide wheels....a few other bits to be fitted to the suspension soon....

Anyway,

I would like to lighten the car if I can so, as a starting point, how much do they weigh?
and does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could lighten it?

I have removed rear seats, carpet in the rear, rear wiper, rear bumper (to be replaced by older chrome version) and the towbar's gone too...

Radio will follow and that's all I can think of...

Idea's?

is it a liftback or coupe?

RA40B liftback is 1100kg

front and rear bumpers a very heavy

not much else you can take out that weighs alot but all the little stuff will add

if its a liftback the rear hatch is heavy because of the glass if its not a road registered car you could replace the rear hatch glass with lexan

Yeah if you dont intend on having it registered you can go to brown town when ripping shit out of it.

coupes are supposedly 1050kg pretty sure thats series 1

series 2 bumpers would be 25 kg heavier than chrome ones
