    Default heater hose clamp?

I've never seen a clamp like this before and looking at it it appears to be a split pin sort of job. I've tried yanking the sucker out to no avail. any other suggestions besides the obvious hack the hose?

As noted above, they unwind. Very annoying type of clamp so don't worry about destroying it, tossing it in the bin and replacing it with something more conventional

    amen to that.

pull the pin with pliers, unwrap the clamp, throw in bin, fit conventional clamp.

If the above fail then cut through the side of it with a hacksaw.

It could be a bit harsh on the heater tap but i wont deny that it WILL get the hose off one way or another
