I am going for the hard-arse approach. If someone doesn't pay, brush them and bring in someone else. If they do pay and don't show up - more track time for us?

Agreed, get everyone to pay up, that confirms their spot.

If they decide they can't make it for whatever reason and no one can fill their spot and they can't find someone to fill their spot then it's their loss (then you won't be out of pocket either Justin). I think that is fair and I would think most people would feel the same?

Once you pay, you're committed to a spot and attendance.

As Squid said, if they can't make it or fill the spot it's more time on the pan for the rest of us

Hence the reason for the 12 people, If we have a drop out, then we're still above the 10 needed, I will not be forking out ANY of my own money to refund those that have paid and do not give enough notice, (all the conditions are on the 5thgear website)

I am not getting anything out of this. I pay my 99dollars like the rest.

In the event of a drop out. I need to notified, Those that have entered have my mobile no. so There is NO excuss for not calling, SMSing or leaving a voice mail message.

I will try my best to fill the spot in the event of a drop out, but if none can be be found, then you lose out.

That's all perfectly fair Justin and is what everyone would expect

I tried to convince my missus to enter but she said she was happy just to watch.

She'll hang around about 30 minutes then say it's too cold and piss off home, not hardcore enough for being a camerawoman

If there is 10 - 12 of us we'd have time to take a turn or two at filming?? Maybe some incar too

I'm a qualified sex-tape cameraman if that helps. - My specialty is filming from a wardrobe using the zoom to get the slats out of the frame.

My mate has bailed, there is a hill climb the same day... if it causes too much hassle I will pay for it and find someone else (or let the GF drive mine)...
