unless its an lsd then you have a problem
Hi guys. Tested out the clutch setup today on my 28. Its the first time the back wheels have been in motion in a long time. I made up some new hydraulic lines for the clutch cylinder and wanted to test it out. Few strange things happened.
With the car on stands, the drivers side wheel would start to rotate when cluch was let out but stopped a few seconds after, ie when the clutch was fully out. The passenger side was spinning fine.
Also, with the clutch fully depressed, the passenger side slowly rotates, but is easily stoppable by touching it with your hand.
Any thoughts? I have a feeling that the diff might need a bit of attention.
Cheers.

nostalgia is not what it used to be:
Normal for an open wheeler.

As already said, an open wheeler wont take much to slow up... If its an LSD on the other hand, two things, a really rooted LSD. Or a snapped axle, but you'd know if that was the case

Cheers guys. Is it no drama that the output shaft of the gearbox turns slightly when the clutch is depressed. It stops when you put your hand on one of the rear wheels. I was concerned that it will build up heat in the clutch?

No, a little bit of transmission drag is fine.
