Do Airbox's really help that much?
Im planning to move the battery, probably to the boot, make a Air box and run an air intake aswell.
Only problem is......How do u relocate the battery in a GT4??
Would make an Air box without moving the battery if possible, but there is absolutly no room.
Atm i got a HKS pod, and only a heat sheild, the shield is working, but a airbox would provide better heat resistance.

An airbox has 3 main purposes:
1. It provides a space for an air filter to be fitted and housed in an enclosure which is part of ADR rules. It also houses sensors in many applications, esp in respect to standard.
2. It quietens down induction noise helping vehicle manufacturers comply with ADR rules.
3. It helps to reduce the amount of hot air drawn into the engine.
The basic reasoning for moving the battery into the boot is to provide more room for whatever reason be it to fit piping or an air filter - as in your application, along with providing a neater engine bay.
Just keep in mind that hot Air is bad and by building an airbox you will not only ensure compliance but also lessen the amount of hot air being sucked into your engine which will cost you power.
