7mge alternator amp upgrade? 90-100amp?

Hi there.
I need a 90-100 amp alternator for 7mge. Currently using a 80amp.

1uz has 4mm difference from pivot to adjust point, also has different plug. is 100amp tho

What are the amp ratings of 1g-gte and 7mgte alternators?? Are these a direct swap?

Any suggestions?

The 7MGTE is still an 80amp alternator

Direct upgrade is the SW20 Turbo alternator you just need to swap your pulley over from the 7M.

Have you got a definant amp rating for that?
My current alternato apparently has a bolt spacing of 160mm. The net tells me that sw20 alternators are 165mm spacings. So probly not quite as "direct swap" as we thought. Or am i wrong?

Just did some searching and this is what i found.
However my 7mge part number matches a 160mm bolt spacing alternator weird.

MZ21 GT soarer alt is 100 amps but they will supply 110 amps . i use one on my 4WD to help with the winch. Now i should try to sell you one hehe

I ventured into ashdown ingram today, They try to tell me that my alternator is a 170mm spacings which contradicts the 165mm i found in another catologue and also the 160mm a 7mge is suppose to have......... F*cked if i know whats right or wrong here.
Best way to find out is pull the f_cker off i spose.

The larger output ones have a wider bolt spacing .
$100 for one.

Just fitted a 130amp sourced from forum member Darola.
Problem is solved. I tested it with windscreen wipers, washers, air con fan, heater fan, cd player, high beams, brakes and blinkers all on and engine does not miss a beat when doing low revs.
