Default JZA Supra seats into AE86?

    Hi all,

The seats in my sprinter is looking pretty crappy, so i've been looking around for some replacements.
I've got my eye on some JZA80 seats, cause they look sooooo comfy. Just wondering if anyone has done this swap and can tell me how much work is involved ( and wether they will phisically fit in there! ) - i can make up brackets/mod rails if that's all thats needed, I don't want to go drilling holes in the floor.

Any other seats that are reasonably close to fitting besides AW11?
Being a daily driver, i'm looking for comfort and support, not too concerned with weight, and minimum mods to mount. Not a fan of aftermarket buckets tho... any suggestions?

    TIA

MA61 seats nearly fit straigh it, and the seats out of old school soarers look identical and they bolt straight in. the seats look very similar to the JDM AE86 seats too! the driver side has adjustable side supports and lumbar and the side bits on the base of the seat can be adjusted too to make it hug you more. you should be able to get a set cheap enough. Well worth it!
    Good luck with it all!
    Cheers.

you'd be wrong, they are actually pretty uncomfortable and small even for skinny ol' me with boney girl arms and no arse.

I have one in my KE35 and i would change it if i wasnt such a tight arse

Bah, don't listen to Rob, they are damn comfy and hold you pretty well around the corners. Best holding factory seats I've been in are the SW20 drivers seat.

I'd say Ed is a little taller than me, if your 5"11 you'll find them comfy seats!

Cheers for the feed back guys, i stuck my head in an old school Soarer today, and they look pretty dam close to what i'm after, if i can get some at the right price and they bolt in as you say Whitchy, they're the seats for me!! (haven't had a chance to actually SIT in any tho )
They really just need to be more comfortable than my flogged out/torn/squeaky/twisted sprinter ones, so thanks for the warning Rob, i'll be willing to risk it.
The steel jabbing into my back says that plywood zip tied to a milk crate would be more comfortable than what i got

i think jza80 seats suck, but thats just my opinion. i find the ma61seats more comfortable and i think they suite sprinters more anyway. plus you can get them in blue, maroon etc.
