how much rep do you need to have an avatar?
as for attachments.. never tried.. what are you trying to attach? why not host it somewhere?
Can anyone please explain the attachment system in a little more detail to me?
I have tried to attach pics to threads, and a pic to my avatar without any luck.
My 'Posting Rules' box says that i can attach pics but have not been able to?
Also, when i have signed out and logged back in, that 'posting rules' box has changed to say that i cannot attach etc.
Doest this mean that the system has lost the recognition of my amount of posts, rep etc?
Im a bit confused...

Not sure if you even need rep to have an avatar?
Or can you only have one when you are considered as a 'priveledged member'?
Im just trying to attach a photo or two to a members ride thread.
I could host it somewhere but i was just curious, it would be far easier to just lnk it from my computer.

Host the image.
perhaps you should read the FAQ.. and the other multiple threads on avatars and rep.. you could evn use the search fucntion. they are much better on the new forum.Originally Posted by thomasbl

Thanks.
Since posting that thread, i have learnt to host images at imageshack and link them to my threads from there.
Oldcorollas: Thanks for the input, I had actually searched previously for this information without any luck, and the FAQ section seems to suggest that you can actually link from your computer. Oh well, thanks anyway. It is always great to recieve input which is constructive and free from sarcasm. + rep for you.......
