    Exclamation Which is Which????

Loynings is going through the head now.... They use a different style of valve guide, so they have their own valve seals. The OEM seals use 2 different colors, its been forever since I did 4AGE valve seals, sooooo.... Which seal is which? The OEM engine overhaul kit has both sets (intake, and exhaust), but neither set is marked when in the kit..... One set is grey.. the other is bronze.

    Your help is greatly appreciated

so far the answer I have is grey is intake and black is exhaust... well I have grey, but no black... so, I figured I'd ask in another forum.........

    This is what I know......
intake valve seals 90913-02079 superceeded to 90913-02090
    exhaust valve seal 90913-02077

I KNOW the exhaust seal sells for TWICE the cost of the intake seal.... what I don't know is which seal is grey, and which is bronze?????????

When i rebuilt the head on my 4age (redtop 100kw) i bought a non genuine VRS kit and the valve stems were identical for both inlet and exhaust.

I dont have access to an epc atm but i was pretty sure that even on that the valve stem seals were the same. Someone feel free to correct me if im wrong.

black may be nitrile = intake.
grey or brown may be viton or similar = higher temp = exhaust.. (= more expensive, but more better)

if possible, just use all non-nitrile ones
