you could try and source a rwd intake if you can't get one cut and shut. Not sure if they'd fit your 4age? but someone should be able to clarify that for you.
I'd stay clear of the whole carbie set up as i've just completed a 4age conversion into an
ae71 and it wasn't as hard as it looked. mind you i did get help from more knowledgeable people!
im not 100% sure which way im going yet? i pick the car up tomorrow so i"ll finalize the plans once it"s in the shed. either way it looks like i will be learning alot about 4AGE's rather quickly as i hope to have the car on the road in 4-8weeks from the time i get it home (funds permitting of corse).
Shane 73,
I am in adelaide, can do the wiring and setup your efi in a day if you get the parts. A RWD manifold can be had from a wreckers in melbourne already cut and shut I think it was toyospares in bayswater (~$250). I belive you could probable do the standard efi thing for under $600,
What is a webber manifold going to cost $200 (you will probable have to buy it new), couple of 45mm webers $500, a decent tune and jetting ~200. I rekon you would spend a grand fairly easy going down the carby path and the engine will feel no where near as nice. I guess if you go the carby route you can say you have a unique engine because few people would go this route.

Not sure which 4age you have, but you may be able to get the loom, ecu, relays/fuses, dizzy, ignitor and coil, and any other sensors you need from here.

roger that sounds like a plan i would be keen to the efi if you could help out with the wiring side of things!(i would be happy to pay for your time of course) i do have some of the stuff for efi, ie computer i think all i need is the manifold cut/shut and to do something about efi fuel pump and a swirl pot. thanks for the offer!!!!!!
