    Default g-series IRS and LIVE

I know this has been covered before but I could not find it on here anywhere, maybe on the old forums.

I have a hilux g-series housing currently with no center (unsure of model, was 1410mm) I was just wanting to know if I can get a torsen center out of any other g-series housing, IRS, Live, Supra, hilux or whatever and put it in my housing or will some not fit or need modifying? I think a supra torsen would be the easiest to find and probably going to be a better ration for me (I have a 1g-gte RA28 - still undecide don rations if someone wants to give me some advice here).

And lastly I have changed diff centers before (broken T's) but with a complete center. I am assuming that it should be a very simple unbolt / bolt in for a torsen g in my housing. ANy hints or tips are most appreciated here aswell.

    Thanks

Get a TrueTrac torsen centre, they're built for Hilux (ie live-axle) applications so you'll have no problems at all. Much easier to find than an OEM torsen centre too.

Having said that, live axle and IRS centres are interchangeable for the G series, a few people have done it.

Not to mention no one I know of to date has broken one, yet quite a few JZA70 torsens have been destroyed due to a hard launch.
