AE82 Bigport to Smallport conversion

well i would hazard a guess at him using the ae82 mounts.its just a matter of swapping them over.not very hard

Whole car needed rewiring, spark was all over the place, couldnt get the fuel/air right, so i bought another twinky and used the other for parts.

I'm basically raping it for parts and sending the shell to the wreckers, theres still some half decent parts in there, i'm also keeping the smallport as its all good, just the ecu and loom etc needed replacing and basically there were alot of other things that needed fixing like wheel bearings needed doing, exhaust needed fixing, headlights, and the list goes on.

thought this would be a half decent place to post this

my AW11 has had a smallport put in it (before i bought it) but they have kept the AFM and bigport loom and ECU

i have a smallport loom and ecu to go in it, because i think that the engine should have the loom adn ecu it was designed for and that it feels like it is lacking in the power department.

i was wondering if to swap the looms over it is all just plug and play? since the smallport motor should have all the smallport loom conection correct??

I doubt it would be anything near plug and play.

You will need the smallport sensors to go with the loom and ecu, then you will need to wire the loom to suit the chassis, given that the smallport loom is probably configured for an AE92/3

but wouldnt the smallport sensors already be on the smallport engine?

nah bigport ecu needs bigport sensors.. there what the comp is programmed to use.. it would be a massive job to do by yourself

wouldnt be massive unless all the sensors are a bitch to get to in an AW11. which is possible.

Otherwise change all the sensors and then install the loom.

only problem i see is that the smallport loom is most likely to be from Front wheel drive car?

from most reports. the aw11 is a fwd reversed.
