    This is how all factory systems work. I'm trying to understand why you'd even consider doing it another way. Thread does not compute??

    Oh and yes the PS system does get stupid hot when it's been doing a bit of work (circuit racing, mountain runs etc) so if you ever do anything beyond Mos-style driving you really do need a decent oil cooler. I killed two racks circuit racing in my MA61 before I upgraded the OEM "cooler" (actually a length of pipe) to a real cooler.

    I was originally going to use the MX83 res which sits on the passenger side. Hence not wanting to loop around the engine bay 10 times before completion.

    Now that i have the JZA80 res i can use that.

    EDIT: just realised that its only the 2JZGE JZA80s which have the res literally ontop of the pump.

    My passenger side strut tower is already cramped due to having all the ignitor stuff up there. I could squeeze it in, but its just not worth it compared to the JZA80 2JZGE solution.

    I take it your engine didnt come with this?

    I have a PS pump off a 1JZ-GTE, hence no inbuilt res.
