Default TESTING - user signup page

Just tried signing up a new user account for "random wookie" style signups.

I tried to sign up with just a username, password, and email acct - and none of the stuff in the second section of the form.

The first thing it knocked me back on was my membership number. If the person is not a member - then perhaps we should get users to put something else there to say so.

after putting in a membership number alone, it knocked me back without giving a descript reason why - it should say something like "please fill in all the fields with accurate details, all user signups are moderated..." or something.

Fair enough but how much detail do you want there?

The heading for that section where you have to fill in all the details is "Additional Required Information (profile)" so it already states the information is required. I'll add that sign-up is moderated and veracity of the information can be checked I guess.

As to the member number it specifically explains that it is to identify members of the Toymods Car Club and if you are not a member to put in N/A.

Yeah well it is always going to happen I guess. I tried to make it nice and clear and have an explanation for every item I added that we required people to fill in.

I did however go and change the wording at the top of the required info section to state that sign up is moderated and we may check validity of the info provided.

Needs a bit of a spell check... e.g. "Chassi" instead of "Chassis" etc.

Yes that one's a bit strange. I noticed it myself and went back and checked but it is actually spelt correctly in the admin page.

I'll see what I can find out about it.

Josh - just had another funny one.

When filling in the details, the form says that birthday is optional, but it wont let you pass until you enter a birthdate.
    ...... butt scratcher?!

Cool I'll sign up another test and take a look. It should be necessary.
