this going to be at simmons im assuming?
which day is it on/which day you attending?
Hey all
Just letting everyone know there will be a show and shine on at this weekend's round of the tassie drift series, and i WILL have the sprinter there for it Whilst i'd love to be driving it in the comp, having had no drifting experience (other than that in my commy ute) and lack of time to have the car tuned properly i will not be able to, yet.
So, who's gonna be there to meet?? I'll most likely be standing with my baby all day, keen to meet a few fellow toymodders!!!
Peace
PS im not really into the whole drift scene, hence my car was built for traditional racing events, but still, a chance to mingle with fellow car lovers is snapped up in a second down here in tas!!

Entrants must be assembled in the designated area in the pits between 9am and 9.30am
There'll be tuff street car and best modded car classes i think, i'll find some more info and post it, hang on....
Hope to meet you cuts!
This year as part of the Tasmanian Drift Series the we are trying to spice things up a little bit and give spectators more to keep them entertained during the day of drifting.
Part of this involves running a show and shine to show off some of Tassie's best modified vehicles. After an ordinary showing at RND1 we're wanting Launceston to show the southern posers how its done and bring whatever you've got....
Cars will be situated at the rear of the pits in a designated area
This is not strictly for drift cars, any show quality car would be welcomed. The day can see up to 1000 or even more spectators come out for a look so if your proud of your car and would like to show it off bring it along
CLUB DISPLAYS ENCOURAGED
WHEN - 31st MAY
WHERE - Symmons Plains Raceway - Back Of Pits Area
COST - Gold Coin $$$$
TIME - cars are to arrive between 9am and 9.30pm and be parked in the designated area til the end of the lunch break, after such time you will be allowed to take the car up to the hill area to watch the action in the afternoon but its highly encouraged that you leave the car in the designated area throughout the day
Prizes awarded for Tuffest Street Car and Best Show Car
if this isnt successful its unlikely that either northern or southern events will feature a car show for the rest of the year

your still commin with your bonnet dramas man? just be tough and run without one.
ive just changed all my plans so i can make a showing.
I’ve pulled the bonnet off and it looks way better for show purposes with it off anyway… So might still have to come! (just for you )Originally Posted by Cuts
But that’s now all pending on me having my tow vehicle, which at this stage doesn’t look like is going to happen, hhhmmmm!
Few pics of the damage, also I don’t mind the show stance up on the stands, worth throwing them in for the show if I can make it you reckon??
I’ll be sure to pull out all stops in order to get her up there for the day!
yeah doesnt look too bad on those stands, should give them a coat of jam though, rust isnt a good show colour .
tow hhmm with the wrx?
ive towed a BA coon ute a good 60 km or so with the 205, loved it even overtook a couple of cars uphill lol.
They're orange not rusty! lol but yeah i'll paint them and throw them in the ute! So im still all go for the day, looking forward to it!Originally Posted by Cuts
I'd love to have it on the back of the WRX, but the tow bar's rated towing capacity is 500kg unbraked and 900kg braked, so i dont really wanna go stretching those figures! The pig ute will do the job, she loves it!
I'll most likely be there, not entering the car, yet, but will come for a look
well we came, we entered, we won.
I took out top street car, and medwin took top show car.
enough talkin smack, pics.
I got there just as I saw Medwin driving out with his car on the back of a trailer!! You guys left early.
left round 2:30, we had been there since 9:30, so had seen enough sideways action for one day
dudes awesome cars so hot jesse congrats on getting her up and running and at the show! massive acheivement
