    Default any ideas - ST162 not starting

    ok have just done a motor change on a st162 and now it won't start you get a loud click from the starter when you release the key for starting position

    Battery, starter, or no starter lead connected.
    Click on start is the starter solenoid. If it doesn't have enough juice to pull the starter pinion all the way out it won't engage the contactor for the starter motor itself. You could also try a starter solenoid relay (but charge your battery first).

    have done battery cheers will use better titles in future

    Short the start wire to the battery and see if it cranks over... if it does pop a relay in and all will be good. There's an FAQ on it that warrior made floating around for doing just this
