Youve prob got a vacuum leak.
A high idle can also be caused by air in the cooling system but this shouldnt affect boost.
Hello all, i have an ae82 with late model 4AGZE. I got this car last week and its had a high idle since. The car has a front mount fitted with no BOV, and idles between 1,500 and 2,000RPM. I dont understand whats goin on as there is no boost leaks (Boost guage sits on -20) and car drives fine. Anyone got any idea's, becuase im sick of people looking at me like im a try hard LOL. Thanks in advance

ok so i found a leak in the piping... fixed that, and i had to adjust the screw on top of the TB. the revs fluxuated still, and im thinking that yeah it maybe the cooling system. Thanks for the heads up

Hey Jarrad,
I had this happen when I first put in my 4AGE. My TPS was out of whack! Find a 4AG manual and try and adjust it properly, or just loosen it and rotate it a bit each way and see if it changes anything! Mark where its at before ya move it incase ya problem is from air in the water system!
hey i just realised i wasnt adjusting the tps.. I yas adjusting the large screw on the throttle body.
