Theres still anymore spots? My flatmate is keen, so long as a skyrine is welcome..
If yes PM me details![]()
It's actually since the new owners took over that it has become more strict, it just coincides with the fact that the new owners resurfaced the track
I'm pretty sure that these days are still self scrutineered, at least it was last time out anyway.

Guys, there's no more spots at the moment, we filled up damn quick. I'm lagging a little on the list on the front page as there's a few people that have commited, but are yet to be listed because i haven't heard they've transferred yet. Once they all pay up, we're at 14, which is already a couple over what i had!
I'm trying to get a couple more spots, and will keep you posted.

Anyone looking into lap timers?
You can get one requiring a sensor for under $300 but the really appealing ones are the GPS efforts. Racelogices Vbox Mini in particular. They can do some pretty nerdy stuff once combined with google earth etc but even the basic lap time, speed, G force, 0-100 etc have real time appeal for setup.
What do you think?

That one seems to be the go....marketed as the performnace box and driftbox as well but same gear from racelogic, just different badging. For a GPS system it's the cheapest by far and GP prices are down around the sensor system.
Looking at ballpark $550 landed but maybe Ed's haggling skills and fist gestures will get us a better price?

Aussie quote was quite a bit more expensive than i know what can be had from the US....he's getting back to me with a GP and se if it's worth persuing from there

I've got a Nokia 6110 navigator with the built in gps.. I downloaded RaceChrono which has WP in it.
Anyone had experience with this before? I know it wont be as good as a full blown race timer but as it's free, i could live with a small level of error.
Free is looking good compared to even the GP price. For even the Pbox version we need to go to the US to get the approx $550 landed price
BTW what's the charge on the phone when accessing the GPS facility?
