No, i haven't been on the track for around a year so i'll be rusty as hell. Very keen to try the new surface!!

What would be awesome GT is to have a genuine 'gun driver' out there and sit him with a few quick guys for tuition. I'm happy enough with my lines (new surface might require some minor tweaks and the fish hook entry is always hard to get spot on) but true track braking points could do with some work to help step to the next level.

Do we have any championship winners lurking on here?

    Rona's uncle from Adelaide.

He's as close as Australia has got to the Stig.

i dont think i could tolerate sitting in the passenger seat of my own car... thats just wrong... really wrong

and yes, supra will be making it outside under its own power for the first time in 18months. it may even be run in by then (if not, certainly will be afterwards). i actually hope to have mechanical assembly 100% complete by sat evening, with wiring the main issue standing between linden's and a dyno - but even that is 50% finished, and mos will be pulling a big night tonight.

other thinhs like harness mounts and new rear wing towers may or may not be dnoe, but meh, itll run...

Good to hear Ed, very keen to see (and hear) this thing at the track.

What about Glenn Ridge as "driver"

Speaking of Stitt....Stitt-Stig...pretty close, could he be the new Aussie Stig?

    What are you saying?!

Nah i know what you mean, the few times i've seen it happen to other people the owner always looks blown away, exciting that he's about to get a lot better, and simultaneously crushed because he's also realising he'll never have the balls/commitment and precision required to drive his own car THAT fast.

It is one of the reasons i try and jump in the passenger seat of as many people as possible, see how people do things differently, get ideas for different lines/entries, or confirmation of why you do it your way! And i just love being in cars getting driven well, and feeling how different cars behave.

Yeah it feels damn weird, somebody round here still has a great quote about it in their sig, along the lines of watching somebody else fuck your gf. I'm usually more nervous in the passenger seat of my car than others, because i tend to trust people know their own cars well enough, and you can spot the ones who don't pretty quickly.

Thing is though, if you start driving other people's cars, it's only fair you return the favour. And i'm always keen to drive as many different cars as possible, it's another thing that makes you a better driver. It does help though not having too highly sought after of a car, i've driven a lot more cars on the track than people have driven the corolla!

Nah mate still hang around, there's only greg on the wait list at the moment, everyone else are maybes! Just when you know for sure you can come, let me know.

And hire cars generally run out of (hand)brakes after a lap and a half, at most. So it's a real 1 lap qualifier style run...

Hey Justen, i haven't mentioned Glenn Ridge, do i still get a go?
