it's just first thing in the morning you want a good shower, and the ones there are great... relatively speaking. Of course not as good as home, but better than your average caravan park or the like.
showers great huh?? mmmOriginally Posted by MR22ZZ

think it prob is a good idea to stay there....no treking to get there in the morning or having to go back to another hotel after...nice and easy!

MY BELOVED AW11...Updated members ride thread>>>>http://www.toymods.net//forums/showt...=4584#post4584
AW11s always welcome in my driveway !
heres a vent of today's effort at wakefield superpsrint with the thornleigh car club,
celicas running sweet as, overcast, freezing cold morning, and foggy,
head on out for my first session, straight out its going sweet *until* i start to get a small vibration under load (always had a lil vibration), i think not much of it for the 1st lap, until the 2nd lap the vibration is getting a lil worse, then by the 3rd lap its farked,
so i nurse it back round to the pits, jack it up, and confirm my belief that the tailshaft uni had flogged out completly, leaving the car undrivable home,
so a mad dash into goulburn to find a replacement uni for a 1976 celica on a sunday....(yeah good farking luck i said to!)
no luck there, call round a few stores to find that repco in canberra has one!...
so a mad dash down the free way, in a hurry to get back in time to get it back on the rd before they lock me out,...that lands me a speeding fine of $238 and 3 points (15+k over)![]()
get to repco, pic up the uni, speed back to wakefield, and no nuck with getting the old one out, *luckily* mates dad is a plumber and still has all his tools with him, so out comes the angle grinderand it all goes back together sweet as after a lil fidling round

on my 2nd lap, i managed a new best of 1:16.6 (previous best was 1:18.8) (with miles of improvement left!!!!!!!!)
sorry, for the long post, cant wait to get back down there with you guys with a new trailshaft![]()
the track feels insane compared to what it used to be, considering i only got three laps at a price of $170 per lap with all the involved costs of the wkend!![]()
The 'No Speed Limit day' only applies when you are on the track mate![]()

Good progress for me. Slicks fitted, had to warm them in the sun most of the day so the bead would popOil cooler fitted and new Sparcos test fitted.....a few tweaks to the side mount rails and good to go. Dummy fitted rear wing....i need to fab up some simple mounting blocks to get it a bit higher and ensure it'll be in clean air.
I'd like to get an oil temp gauge installed but nowhere to easily insert the sender unit.
Still looking for a lap timer appropriately priced for the limited use it'll get?

Couldn't manage to incorporate the oil temp sender into the oil cooler setup you just installed?? Sounds like some good progress otherwise. I made some over the weekend, mostly fixed my brake issue friday night with help from linden (thanks again) - i now have a temporary new brake line front right, and some $47 special pads in there. New pads will be going on soon as i don't think the left is in much better condition.
Roundy is next in line for that spot that's come up, hopefully he's got one car that'll be ready?? Scott, it's now just dennis then you on the list, sorry for the delay confirming, have the file stored at work and haven't been in the office since thursday.
Blake, expensive, but at least it's nothing more permanent!

Eventually that's where the sender will go but i need to fabricate a distribution block that will also accept the sender....won't happen by the 20th

Cant stick it in a sump plug adaptor temporarily? I dont know if it points sideways or down, and if its the latter then probably forget about it unless its guarded by the subframe.
