Default 1ggte gz10 taco and speedo problems.

hey guys my car has baisicly been sitting there for 6 months and i have taken it for the id inspection and on the way home the speedo stopped working and the cable is not broken and its still plugged into the back of the dash,

a mate told me that the bit where the cable screws into the g/box strips out sometimes and i just assumed thats what i was.

then recently just apon a random start up the taco decided to just stop working to, i have no idea why, i havent driven it or anything, maybe its just trying to fit in, i dunno but its a tad odd,

if anybody has and tips on what it could be that would be sweet.

im most prob just gonna get a apexi rsm but it would be nice to have the taco atleast.

    thanks heaps

Tacho requires a booster, so its possible the booster has failed, or fuse blown, etc.

Speedo could be broken cable, or speedo gear has stripped out. Time to get under the car and take a look.

Apexi RSM will still need a speed signal from somewhere...

yeh the cable its self isnt broken but i would say its the bit on the gear box, and im pretty sure the rsm just wires into the computer.

ill check out the fuses and shit for the tac,

    thanks heaps

    Listen to the Man
On cable driven speedo cars, the computer gets its signal from the speedo in the cluster - so no speedo, no signal for the computer, no rsm.

What have you done to ascertain that the speedo cable is not broken?
