Thanks Mitch & Phil and anyone else that organised the day, it was nice to catch up with everyone.

Ummmm, Ultimate Tunes will never see my car on their dyno again. I'm still trying to figure out how I could get 290kw at 16psi and then when I bump it to 25psi I can only get 320 something........

the 7km/sec ramp rate was a bit slow/strange for a shootout style event..

    Thus says a man driving a 4ac...
The 402 didnt seem to have any trouble getting 390odd
Sorry Ross, couldnt help myself there...

But he also said that it was down on normal (iirc its made 415 or something like that) someone else will be able to confirm that. So it does seem that squiddy was the only one that made more than expected.

The AWD cars seemed "about right", the standard stuff that ran on the front rollers seemed "about right".

Compared to other dynos everything that ran on the rear rollers was down a bit/a lot and not by any particular percentage.

Regardless of the peak power mine made it certainly ended up with a power curve unlike any I've had before. Strange too seeing as though it's definitely improved since the last dyno day.

Meh, I'll go to the drags if I want a "proper" gauge of the power and performance of my car.

According to Sunday, I guess you're right......

Yep, I forgot to punch the boost up and the first run was on my daily boost setting.

Just on my way to deliver another bunch of flowers Must have been oil on the road, as if a little 1.6L 4ac could lose traction

Ramp rate with the Mainline dyno was very slow compared to the shootout modes we are used to on Dyno Dynamics for sure. Felt like my car was under load for longer than it would be for a full quarter mile

as my first time on the dyno, and with the results from the last time this engine was on a dyno - some 5 years ago, the still unmodified 1G-G gave me a pleasant surprise. like the 18rg's were doing, i expected around 65 and did significantly better. on a toymods dyno day it did 69kw
the Golf got much better than expected. factory rates it at 103kw at the fly and pulling 102 at the wheels impressed for an oil burner

Definately more than impressive figures for the little diesel. I'm assuming they didn't use the O2 meter in your exhaust for the runs?

I was thinking about this earlier today.. the ramp rate was much slower than your usual DD shootout mode.. so the turbo cars would have a lot more heat in the intercooler before getting to optimum rpm..

I also hit boost cut.. something it doesn't do on the street... looking at the vid.. it could be because it was in the one gear loaded up for the same period of time it takes to run the 1/4...
