R15x gearbox rebuild questions

I have a 1UZ in an LN130 Surf with the R151F and a 1UZ in a UZZ30 Soarer which is currently automatic...

The Surf box needs to be rebuilt and I have come across another R15x box which I am possibly going to put into the Soarer.

Has anyone rebuilt these before and can they be done at home with standard tools? I have a 20 ton press but only a few plates for it.

I have a copy of the factory service manual which covers teardown and rebuilding and it mentions a couple of SST's which I guess are fancy bits for pressing on and off bearings and gears.

Also does anyone have a good line on bearings and syncro's for these?

You will just need the press and maybe a puller or two for some of the harder to remove gears (a harmonic balancer puller and some bolts work fine) most of it you will use the press.
Places like coventrys can do the bearings and syncros at a small price compared to genuine but watch out for slight differences in the synchros
