    Yep, I can also confirm that, and MZ12 is 20 pulse too.

    And I have also pulled a 20 pulse one off an ex 1ggte auto gbox, I think it was ex GZ20?

    Hi...

    I really need help here. I am using the Celica GT4 ST185 mated with the W58 gearbox. The problem is that the digital sender turns out to be the digital one. Whereas as stock dashboard IS FULLY MANUAL !!

    So I bought the Apexi RSM. But I could not connect the digital sender to the Apexi RSM. Really need help here. How can i connect the digital sender to the Apexi RSM ??

    Please explain of how can i solve this problem in an easy form of english as I am Indonesia. Thanks a lot.

    My apologies!

    Finding a 20pulse / rev one may not be that easy :S

    Have you contacted Apexi?? They may have the answer to your solution.

    Has anyone ever got the jaycar unit to work? I have spent more hours on this one tonight than I really wanted to, I've checked the board for joined tracks - fine, and I can't find any dry joints. All components are in the correct positions and orientation, I guess I am saying I believe the board has been assembled correctly.

    For my GZ20 I have used the speedo input as the yellow wire which pulls down to ~2v from battery voltage, if you cut and then tap this wire together you can generate a signal (5km is all I could get ) During configuration I did get the LED to flash at 1Hz only whilst going backwards, however once I then set S1 and S2 to 0 it never appeared again. No combinations of the links, nor repeating travelling in reverse would get the adjuster to work.

    Anyone have any input? Has anyone used the adjuster on a GZ20 and can share their config settings and wiring diagrams.

    Thanks in advance.

    Rob

    I used it one on an MZ12 once, no issues.

    Looking at instructions, and heck I even found pics of the one I setup,

    Configure to "No pull up or pull down" (S2 = E)

    LK1 = Fitted (I left out ZD3 to make the output go to +12V as opposed to being capped to 8.2V, but you might not need to...)
    LK2 = Not fitted
    LK3 = Fitted
    LK4 = Not fitted
    LK5 = Not fitted

    Cheers

    I use a jaycar speedo corrector on my supra to fix the tacho. Works fine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zs5DlAsx110 (Can share the settings and diagrams, but obviously not the same)

    Assume your using the speed signal from the electronic sensor on the gearbox?
    Have you tried configuring the input and output type manually? Should be 'E' no pull-up or pull down.
    And you want LK3 installed.

    I've got one on a UZZ30 dash.
    Took a while with a DMM to set up the correct pins (was a MK1, not a MK2), but has been flawless.
    Just takes a few seconds from 0kph to register.

    Success! Fundamental flaw was the speedometer input/out wiring. I thought I had it right, however I had the B+ as the input. Really appreciate sharing the config settings, the unit worked instantly.

    For reference 1989 GZ20:

    Yellow - B+
    Violet White S - Speedometer (Pin 8 D1 connector)
    Black Yellow S - Ground
