anyone going
http://www.sportcompact.net.au/round3-08.php
Im going to enter if the van is all good over the next week and we get some good power (500rwhp+) layed down.
Anyone else keen to have a real balls out hard go for this.
Maybe toymods could organise a club display. They say only 10 vehicles can be displayed from a club so we could maybe have a poll on 10 vehicles that we think could make it a neat setup of supras or supra powered vehicles or any other toyota car?
Any suggestions maybe from the powers that be or anyone on here

Hi,
I was with Steve ,thinking that it was a sport compact rule to have fixed bucket seat and a harness regardless of times???
i am aware of ANDRAs rules regarding times and associated equipment.
Does anyone have a rule list, for sport compact? one of the regular competitors?
Cheers

ANDRA general safety regs apply
if you run in S/RWD you need to have matching front seats, door trims, roof liner, carpet etc. radial tyres.
there is a rule book on the sport compact website.
you dont need a fixed back race seat until you go 9.99 under andra
i think you need a harness from 12.50 et.
you can run in ET guys, the rules there are relaxed, basically run what ever you want in that class. S/RWD is much more strict.

8.3 et PB 169 MPH PB
i will most likely go out to watch.
I wish i could enter my hilux but it breaks to many rules.

2JZGTE - TO4Z powered.
1968 Toyota Stout Lite

matching front seats?can I please call ghey on that?
So fitting an ADR and FIA approved drivers seat will make your car illegible for entry?
rules are rules dude. the only time they will over look it for one event is if you have to have one for ANDRA safety regs, so unless you run a 9.99 et or faster, you have to have matching front seats
8.3 et PB 169 MPH PB
I have a media pass for this event so wave to me...ill have vest on and big ass white lenses lol
Hey Shane,
i couldnt find any reference to an ET class in the rules or for the event.
i remember seeing ET class at previous events, does it still exist?

for this event they have decided not to run ET, they have decided to have a different category called grudge, which i believe wont have prize money or trophy, its for guys to just come and do laps wihtout pressure of racing,
it would appear sydney siders are scared of racing but are happy to just do some passes.
8.3 et PB 169 MPH PB
i say race heads up its more interesting

Hey mate,
If you go to the link that Shane posted, you will see the rules for the classes.
The rules and requirements for the grudge class i couldn't see though - but i didnt see it on the list of classes either.
But for just runnin your street car you will need to add things - battery triangle, external battery isolator, harness (depending on how fast you are - think its 12.5 sec).
I can run my car at wedensday night but not this event - problems with side pipe, would need a dry cell battery (because battery is in passenger compartment) etc.
All in all - have a look at the rules.
Cheers
