Thought of ringing toyota in the weekdays?
Hi Guys,
Posting this up for a mate...
Hope somebody knows how to do it, let me know.
Cheers,
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On the weekend my battery died, (end of life) and was replaced. Now my radio
doesn't work, because the security code needs to be re-entered. I have the
code from all my notes I got with it, but I can not work out for the life of
me how to re-enter the code.
The manual has nothing about it - yet, my parents 97 Toyota manual has hit,
so I tried the same things but no luck. I've tried combos of buttons &
holding in buttons how to reset it but no luck.
Web searching has been very difficult, as I got so many things pop up coz of
the numbers etc...
Then I thought maybe one of your mates knows how to initiate the code
entering?
So here's the details.
2002 Corolla Wagon (prestige)
Model # CD: 32807 (on front panel)
Then above it, I guess it's the model for the tape bit # 74105
Hope one of your guys can help.

i think you press tune up and 1
as stated, hold down tune up and press 1
then you enter the code and then press and hold SCAN for a couple of seconds
From there the unit should turn off and you simply have to turn it on as normal
The code often and last 3 digits of the VIN if he does not know it already, if not, take the car in to Toyota and they can reset it.
MR2ZZ is the winna Thanks Dylan, worked a charm he said, here is his reply

hey!
It worked!! please thank yer buddies!
VERY happy!
cheers

Mods can close this now if they like, it's sorted.
no worries, I've done it so many times myself it became second nature
Well, the problem is mostly solved, but the plot thickens....Basically radio is now unlocked, but a new problem below. Would appreciate any more ideas. Thanks
More from my mate.

If you can, could you post more to that thread?
I told mechanic - clock display is always present & does not show the CD track info etc, like it used to. Also cannot set the clock even tho 3 says "set" and 1 & 2 have "min" & "hour". 4 + tune up does not work. I tried 5 and 6 too - no luck. Anything you can post would be great. Thanks
-----------------------
the clock is separate on the ZZE model sportivo so there was no integrated clock into the head unit, so I can't help with that one unfortunately
Just had him over my shoulder at work, he's not so concerned with the clock being right, more just getting the clock off the display so the CD track display shows...all good though if you don't know mate
Can he get a photo of the face of the headunit, I may be able to work it out if I knew exactly which model head unit he has.
The track info etc probably isn't coming up because the clock hasn't been set, so it's just showing the time from when the battery was reconnected (ie reset to midnight or whatever). For the 102 stock Fujitsu Ten head unit it says:Originally Posted by Alchemist
Clock reset procedure
The clock indicates time with the ignition key in the "ACC" or "ON" positions only.
To reset the time, first press the "MUTE" button and hold depressed while resetting the hour and minutes with the "Station Preset" buttons.
ie
Resetting the hour
With the "MUTE" button depressed, press the "Preset 1" button to increment the hour. The display will indicate the desired selection
Resetting minutes
With the "MUTE" button depressed, press the "Preset 2" button to increment the minutes. The display will indicate the desired selection
Resetting minutes to zero
With the "MUTE" button depressed, press the "Preset 3" button and the minutes will return to zero (:00)
On that head unit, the MUTE button has "Disp" above it, similar to how the station presets have H, M and SET on top of them. So if MUTE doesn't work, look for another button with Disp" near it.
Hope that works

Thanks Hiro I'll pass that on.
Also, here's a photo
I'd say at a guess with the ACC On and the unit off hold down the clock button then adjust the hours and minutes using the marked buttons. The set button may reset minutes to 00 or the whole time to 12:00 or something. If you don't have clock displayed when unit is off and ACC is on then you may have to set the time when a CD is running as you won't be able to set it when the radio is on as the clock button is shared with your AM/FM button.

If holding down the Clock button doesn't work, maybe try holding in the Audio CTRL knob, most aftermarket headunits have a settings or preference menu hidden that way, so it's worth a shot.
