put a smear of grease on the cam in the dizzy.. (the lumpy bit that touches the rubbing block of the points)
and report back
Hey,
I noticed after a long drive in my 4k-equipped KE70 the other day there was a high pitched whirring noise coming from the distributor. I took the cap off and cranked it over and it still made the noise. So I removed the points and replaced them (had a spare, plus they were on their way out anyway).
This appeared to fix the problem. However, after another 300-oddkm drive later that day the noise re-appeared. It's got me stumped. I'm no whiz with distributors either.
Any ideas anyone?
Cheers,
Alex![]()
