    Default chrome trims

    trying to rub my ra23 back and i need to take the chromes off. how do they come off. help please

    The roof rail trims require you to first take the roof rail rubbers off, then undo the screws, and carefully pull the first layer trim off (the one that holds the rubber in place), as it is partially glued.

    Next pry the roof rail trim off from the inside with a trim prybar (wide flat face), as they are also glued in places. They clip fairly firmly to the water sill, but can be removed with even hand pressure. Not good to do if you have delicate nails

    Windscreen ones are easy, just need to find where the clips are. Rag under the pivot of your trim remover where it touches against your paint will prevent you chipping the paint (not all that applicable if you are sand/soda blasting). I think RA23 bonnet chrome is screwed in underneath, easy to get off.

    Remember to soak the studs on your qtr vents in boltoff or similar before attempting to remove them.

    thanks for this, i wanna finish doing my rust this weekend so hopefull on sunday i can get them off.
