    didnt a ford around the xf era have a turbo 6 cylinder from factory

    ahh yes i found one for sale.

    In the current issue of Street Machine is a small story (in the Urban Warfare section) which mentions a Volvo powered by an EFI twin turbo 4.6 litre Rover V8. It make 410 horsepower at the wheels through a powerglide and 9 inch. with a best time of 10.00 on pump fuel.

    Theres a mean volvo getting around Canbera I've seen,

    had cheese cutters on the front, mass tyres on the rear, roll cage,

    was immaculate.

    I used to live near the bloke that had that Volvo. I have heard rumours of it running good numbers but have never had it confirmed.

    The rumour mill in Canberra is strong and exaggerating so it could run who knows what in reality.

    The 4.6 is a vastly different engine to the original 3.5/3.9. 4 bolt mains, lots of turbo and super charger options from the UK and you can pick up a new crate short motor cheaper then rebuilding an old one. And you can use all the old engines heads etc.
