Hey,
Just wondering if any one knows where I can get a new water pump and timing belt for a silver top 20 valve.
I've bought them from my local Toyota spares department before, just took in the model and frame number from a 20V frontcut to order them.
The silvertop part nr is 13568-19035 The silver top and black top motors have a different timing belt. The blacktop belt is about 3 mm wider and is shorter, having only 110 teeth instead of 111 for the silvertop. The part number for the blacktop belt is 13568-19185 .

As for the waterpump can't help with that sorry
My sig has been pruned as it was over 5 lines long.
There is a Camira belt which will fit on a silvertop, it's the same pitch and length, but 1mm wider. It works fine. Just take the old one into a decent parts place.
Strange things are afoot at the circle K
T belt tensioner is the reason the 2 20V use different timing belts. The blktop tensioner is a constant type tensioner, while the silvertop uses a conventional set it and forget it type tensioner
silvertop 20V bits
13568-19035 - timing belt
13505-16021 - timing belt tensioner bearing
16100-19245 - PUMP ASSY, WATER 01.06.1991-01.05.1995 4AGE..AE101
Information is POWER... learn the facts!!
or you could just get the number off the original timing belt and take it to any parts place, get them to ring Gates, and the good people at Gates will x reference the number with there international catalogue, should take about 2 days to order one in to your local parts shop.
Water pump, i would just go to Toyota with part number supplied above, wont be cheap, but then again you won't find it cheap any where.
Will a 16v 4age water pump fit the 20valve? Dont the 2 engines have the same blocks?
front and rear housings are different. I have heard of a 16V front housing and 7A rear housing being used before.
20V pump also has a different metal gasket between the front and rear housings to direct the coolant correctly in the block, 20V gasket has a tongue on it and the 16V doesn't.
The camira belt's also a perfect fit, most part places will have a gates item on the shelf.
Surely you could get a new water pump from the local Bursons/Repco/Autobarn type store? Is there something unique about the 20V waterpump that would prevent aftermarket manufacturers producing them?
Same with the timing belt. Although I'd probably go genuine for something that important.

Probebly the fact they where NEVER an Austrlian delivered motor, so all 20v's in Aust are imports.
Thus local parts suppliers not needing to stock parts for them.
That could make it more difficult. Still worth checking these places as some Autobarns carry books for 'imports'. Some of them refer to them as there New Zealand books. My guess is that some of there suppliers also make parts for the New Zealand market which had virtually no import restrictions for cars. Something to check anyway. Might save a few dollars in the process.
