1g-gte which oil

Hello, I have a 1g-gte gen 3.

I am wondering what grade oil I should use. I read on mkiiisupra.net that 10w30 or 10w40 for hard tuned or high milage engines is good, but not sure if thats for 7m-gte or 1g-gte. What is the specification for oil that should be used with the 1g-gte ?

My engine has done quite a few k's, 160,000, and is a bit worn so what oil should I use?

well i use Penrite 10w 30, mines a gen 3!! only 120 on my clock

I have kyle's old 1ggte motor which ran a 9.7, the only oil he reccomended to use was penrite hpr40 25-70. I know it sounds strange but with those times and the motor still runs a treat, no spun bearings its doin the job

Im using Castrol 10w 30 either GTX-3 or magnatec.

i use penrite 10-40 with 170,000kms but gonna go up a bit more

What would best suit my engine? 10w30 or 10w40? I'm thinking 10w40 because my engine has done quite a lot of K's

i would go 10w40. 10-30 is what is says on the engine bay but something thats done a fare few k's would need something thicker

Is it worth it to pay the extra money for full synthetic? should I go semi synthetic or will it be fine to just get conventional oil?
