Check the float level, and float operation. Also check for a sticky needle/seat valve.

Hey guys,
I just got the weber hooked up on the 2t and have rebuilt it and stuff. Tis idling real nice now however after a short period of driving under load it stutters and dies usually after reving it in first then second it dies in second at about 5 grand.
Anyone have any ideas.
Need someone with experience with webers on these old cars.
Cheers

Yes i figured it had something to do with the float.
I replaced the needle and seat and recalibrated the float levels to what i think is correct.
Can you give me some pointers on how to check this stuff. Im still new at this so its a bit outta my league.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Btw was wondering if Ive hooked up the fuel lines. Atm the fuel pump is running to the side closest to the strut tower and the return from the opposite side, is this correct if not how should it be.
I attached an image below of what i mean.
Cheers.
From memory some of the webers are different. I know that when i put the 32/36 on my old 18RC, the carby had arrows on the intake/return, and they were pointing in the opposite direction to what you have done. Also, does your return t-piece into the return from the pump?? I T peiced mine in, and it worked great, perfect setup even. So, i would say check for the arrows first, and make sure you have put the hoses in the right direction, it certainly looks like you are running out of the fuel in the bowl when you have the throttle wide open, as such you have a fuel feed problem (fuel doesnt go in fast enough). Also, what condition is your pump in?? if its an electric pump, is it strong enough?? is your carby set to run ultra rich (poor jetting, take it to a carby place and get it jetted to suit the motor) this can be seen by a black buildup on the spark plugs.

From what i can see the fuel tee piece has arrows pointing outward on both connections.
From what youve said i should prolly try them the other way around.
Ive attached a photo of the current setup the closer line is the fuel going into the carby return line is behind. Ive highlighted the arrows.

Haha i fixed it, the fuel lines were the wrong way round as you suggested.

+ rep to you.
