    Default 2 1/2" alloy pipe

    howdy happy toymodders
    Just wondering if anyone know a good place to get 2.5 inch od straight alloy piping for intercooler pipes, preferably somewhere in south east victoria - Ive had a look around but havn't been able to find anywhere that sells the right size in less than 6m lengths, which is a bit more that im looking for(about 5.8m to much in fact)
    thanks,

    if you only need a small amount, have a look at places for offcuts - they might even give them to you for free or at least a pittance.

    Also, what have you used to search and are you looking for Aluminium or Steel Alloy and would it need to be welded to youre exisiting piping?

    If you can't find any in Victoria, try Chromend in Windsor on 02 4588 5089 - they'll post/transport as required.

    Im looking for aluminium piping, and its to be welded to my intercooler. i dont need anyone for the welding cause ive got a mate lined up to do the work for me.
    So far ive gone through the yellow pages, talked to the smorgans, asked at AVO and talked to a few exhaust places so this isn't my first try(why is always the easy things that are so difficult)

    I use capral in Brighton drive/st/rd? Dandenog. They are very accomodating with their minimum lengths and their prices are good. I bought a piece of 100mm pipe, 3mm wall thickness in a 1m length (they cut it) and it was less than $25. Otherwise I would have had to have bought a 3m length from Action aluminium at $97 in greens rd (don't go there, dearer and shit stock range).
    I also need some 2.5" aluminium pipe, when do you need yours?

    Ebay++;

    You'll be able to get the 1.6mm wall thickness gear from there.

    No point getting 3mm thick Alloy piping if 1.5mm Mild steel is going to be lighter.
    Rep points are for those who feel inadequate in other areas !

    weight isnt the issue, more the fact that its gotta be welded to an intercooler core, would prefer thicker walled tubing because i gotta weld it. ill have a poke round on ebay
