Default 3RZ intake/exhaust valve length, stem thickness etc?

Guys-I'm after the following info on 3RZ valves (intake + exhaust)
(I'm trying to work out if I can use oversize 3RZ valves in the 1FZ)

    Stem Diameter
    Overall length
    Tip length

Alternately, if someone has stuffed or bent ones I'll buy a couple.

    Cheers lads,

    Sean

Here's a PDF of the head inspection info for the 3RZ, should have stem diameter etc.

    Bastard.

    They're 6mm, not 7 like the 1FZ.

I wonder if I can put 3RX valve guides in it?????

    From here
    Valve guide bushing
    Inside diameter - 6.010 – 6.030 mm (0.2366 – 0.2374 in.)
    Outside diameter (for repair part)
    STD - 11.000 – 11.027 mm (0.4331 – 0.4341 in.)
    O/S 0.05 - 11.050 – 11.077 mm (0.4350 – 0.4361 in.)
    Protrusion height - 8.2 – 8.6 mm (0.323 – 0.339 in.)
    Replacing temperature (Cylinder head side) - 80 – 100°C (176 –212°F)

You'd know the 1FZ ones or easily find them

    Crap.

    No good.

    The 1FZ are 11.5, and 3RZ about 11.

However, it looks like a set of Nissan Patrol TB48 valves may do it AND cure the need for Lash caps. (valves are another 2.2mm longer)

    What about these

38 or 39mm Intake and 32 or 33mm Exhaust Though I don't know how big standard ones are.

Cheers Gav-I also found those today when hunting.

My only hassle at present is that I am using FJ20 shimless cam buckets, and they about 3mm thinner than 1FZ buckets/shims. This means I need either lash caps,or longer valves to take up the difference.

I was originally thinking that 3RZ stuff would fit, but it's alll just a bit different (1mm here, 0.5mmm there etc etc. ****s.)

Ultimately, if I can get away with actual 1FZ valves and some lash caps it'll make things easier.

The 1FZ ported intake flow with std valves has come up slightly better than a heavily ported 2J with 2mm oversize valves, and the ported exhaust with std valves is significantly better than a heavily ported 2J.

I have to do some research and check if bigger valves will help, but if they do we'll porbably go as big as will fit on both sides-you only live once!

Hey mate, spoke with my mate today who does the ones for Dubia, and he said gains are huge with bigger valves, like 20% or something, he couldn't remember exact figures of before gigger valve but thought they were about 250cfm@25", and with 3-4 mm oversize valves they go 300cfm.

The ones he uses are custom made Ferrea valves, direct fit except for needing a bigger insert, they are as big as you can fit in there, he said about $45 each, they used to be in the 30's, but recently went up. The price is also for batch sets, and they just played an order, if you want them anytime soon, you'd have to let me know asap, this week or tuesday and get another set tagged onto the ones on order, wil be ready in 4 weeks.

Hope this has been of some help)

    Cheers Kyle.

    Theres two questions now-

Can the valves be ordered with a longer tip? I ask I have gone to FJ20 shimless buckets (which are much thinner than the std ones and shims), and when combined with the 1mm reduced base circle on the new cam (blank didn't quite have enough meat for the lift I was chasing) I've now got close to 5 mm to make up.

Also, does he put new seats in the head to cope with the bigger valves?

Currently we've got just over 296 on the intake and 210 on the exhaust with stock valves. (I have a feeling this may be at 28 inches though)

    Thanks mate

I would imagine yes, you could order them with a longer tip, but the price is for him buying 4-5 sets at once, so I'd say your price would be dearer. I'm not sure how much extra, I'd have to ask, however like I said, Alex found massive gains, especially on the exhaust by fitting bigger valves, regardless of flow bench numbers.
