Default 20v heads on 2 litre corona motor.

I've been told by some people that it's possible and it'll put out more power than the 2.4 litre motor.
If it works i was considering putting it into my corona avante.
    =]
    Cheers guys!

What's the point of starting another thread, not even 24 hours apart, asking the same question?

People already told you it wasn't going to work. Why ask again?

I doubt very much that the bore centres on a 22R are anything close to a 4A head, so there's not way it'll fit.

Apparently once upon a time it was deemed impossible for man to run the 4 minute mile.............

I think though the easiest way to go about it would be to run the 2.4L block, then a 2.4L headgasket then a cut section of treated railway sleeper which you'll need to have aligned with the bores and chambers in the head (nothing a hole-saw and a file and a little can-do attitude couldn't knock over in 30 minutes) then the 20V headgasket, then of course the power adder........the 20V head!

Then film pics of you doing skids with the new found power and post it on youtube so all those who have doubted you can see.

All "great projects" started with "some people" who offered advice and "someone" who listened and then didn't listen to some other people.

There are idiots out there that claim all sorts of things work cos their cousin's mate's brother in law was told by a man on a bus that he's seen it done.

Nothing wrong with asking the question once. But starting the same thread twice is pointless.

you're not talking about the 7A-FE ------> 7A-G(Z)E swap are you?

It would be the 1.8 litre corona's - not the 2 litre ones then!!!

who neg repped him and for what? there are plenty of dumb ppl on here asking dumber questions but they dont get smacked down as bad as he was.

short answer to orig question = no

but probly talking about a 7afe corona which is 1.8 and yes it is doable, but the search engine will reveal more answers than im willing to post.

Is it possible that another thread will appear within another 24 hours asking if the 20V head will fit on a 1.8? The initial thread said 2.4, now this one is 2.0, so at least he's getting closer to the realms of possibility.
