No direct experience, but make sure the TA22 is a T and not a D series diff. Every T series I've look at has been the same though.

ma61ggxx? is that his user name? He has a lot of experience with the disc brake conversions and suggests that the ta22 cannot accept an st141 disc brake set up whereas an ra28 can. Hopefully he sees this thread and sheds some light.
Im pretty sure they are, cause i think when i blew my ra23 center, i fitted it with a welded 22 one. No modifications otherwise. But don't quote me, as i am just going by what was sold to me... It could well have been an ra23 one, but the other guy wasnt sure... Or something
Cheers,

The centres are definately the same (t series, small axle) but the flanges may still be different,
thx all, i know the centres are the same but specifically interested in the flange
and yes, the early ta22 were d series and would probably have been different?
Well i never swapped carriers over, i just bolted the whole thing straight in. So than, assuming it was infact the whole carrier from a TA22, than the flange had to be the same as i never drilled anything...
CHeers,

Housings are different. Yes, the centres are interchangeable (assuming TA22 is running a T series, not D as mentioned above). But the wheel bearings are different sizes.
I think the flange bolt pattern at the end of the housing is the same, but TA22 definitely has smaller wheel bearings than the RA28.
If you're desperate for further info I can have a work to a mate of mine who swapped an RA28 housing into a TA22 and find out all the details. Essentially it was going to be easy/possible to do the ST141 disc swap onto the RA28 housing while the TA22 housing caused problems.

Well now i have no idea what i bought, but it worked so i assume he ment ra23...
Sorry, but this means all my info goes to shti...
