    Default GT4 Exhaust

Where would be the best place to buy a 3'' exhaust for my GT4?
The cheapest place ive been able to find is Aussie Exhaust's but they are still charging $1600 for a full system.
    Seems a bit expensive.
Also does anyone know if there is anywhere where i can pick up a second hand exhaust?
Ive asked this question in the old forum, but i never checked back, impossible to find the responces now.
    thanx.

if you want a second hand cat back exhaust - ask me .. I have an AVO 2.5 inch cat back on mine - works well for what it is - though im looking to upgrade to the full aussie system..

If your interested - PM me - im not looking for all that much for it

as for aussie - they cost so much because if the proven quality of the goods ..

you can get cheap " knockoffs " of their dump pipe off ebay - but its thinnker grade steel , and not HPC coated i believe

lance uses one - and so far hasnt had any issues though

as for the midpipe - id still suggest buying the aussie one here - its a diffucult bit of pipe to work with - and aussies jig fits right in without drama

Though is there anyone else that manufactures exhausts for GT4's? I can understand that the aussie systems are of good quality, but still seems abit pricey at the moment.
Does anyone know of another company that makes them that are alil bit less expensive?
id definately be willing to buy the aussie if i had that cash lying around, unfortunatly.........
    I dont

Any decent exhaust shop will be able to make a custom exhaust to your specifications ie 3inch mandrel/press bent, mild/stainless etc.
    If in doubt power out

ive called few shops, and no one seems willing to make a custom system.
they all either say to hard, or to much work. the only place that did say they could make one, was going to charge over 2k.

they say they can't or won't or charge high price because they don't want your business.. it's so much easier for tem to just grab something off a shelf and install into commonwhore or excel that it's not worth their time to actually do some work for a change

yea i know and thats what shits me, all common cars get everything so cheap.
N you go alil bit rarer and you pay outta ur ass for it.
My mates with skyline n 180's get all there exhausts so cheap, yet for GT4 they r a bloody rip off.
Looks like i just gotta save harder, n stop spending on making it look better and concetrate more on performance

I bought a dump pipe and high flow cat off ebay (for my 3sgte) then took it to an exhaust shop to be fitted and custom pipes and bends to be made. All up I think it cost me $760 for a stainless dump pipe and cat, and 3" mandrel bent system.
    $1600 is rediculous!
    Good luck,

I noticed that you are in Vic, go and see Daalder exhausts, they have stores in Dandenong, Box Hill and Preston. They made me a custom 3" system, no problems at all. Very good service and no dramas whatsoever. I only got a cat back, plus 3" between the Primary and Secondary cats, but they said they could have also made me a custom dump pipe for extra $$$. Cost me around $550 if I remember correctly.

If I had $1 for every time I recommended Daalder on these forums

Can I ask the what the point of a 3 inch system is with the standard turbo? Surely the most restrictive part of the exhaust is what matters in a turbo car, and the turbo flange being 2 1/2 inches is the most restrictive point...
